Erin Kenny

Brand & Marketing, Partner

Erin Kenny

Erin moved to the Comox Valley at the age of 12 with her family. With a keen interest in the visual arts from an early age, Erin flourished in the arts program at Highland Secondary school. She decided to pursue a career in the creative industries and continued her arts education at the University of Victoria, majoring in Visual Arts.

Upon graduation, Erin worked in the non-profit sector at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in an administrative role. While she loved working with the local arts community, she craved more applied creativity in her day-to-day work.

Erin and her husband Sean returned to the Comox Valley to attend North Island College's Interactive Media Program (now DIGITAL Design + Development) to further specialize her craft and gain the technical skills needed to pursue a career in graphic design and web development. Her time at NIC was transformational, discovering what she was truly meant to do in life. She refined her skills in branding, design, and front-end web development and excelled in her marketing classes and graduated from her program with Dean's honour roll distinction. During her studies she also continued to stay connected to the community through summer work at the Comox Valley Art Gallery

Following this training, she worked as a multi-media designer for University of Victoria for seven years. She also ran a freelance design business working with clients in both public and private sectors, including in the hospitality industry.

In 2019, Erin and Sean welcomed their first child and Erin moved into the role of Digital Experience Manager at BC Transit, where she managed the corporation's digital platforms for almost two years. The now parents, yearned for home and moved back to the Comox Valley in 2021 after Erin assumed an administrative position in marketing at the local Community College.

Erin is grateful to be back in the Comox Valley and is proud to be carrying on the Locals legacy from the St. Pierres, who have been family friends for decades. She strongly believes in supporting local businesses, creators and food producers. Erin oversees the business's brand and marketing strategy.
